A weekend of community events across the southern atolls brought thousands of new members into the party and established fresh branch committees on several islands. Organisers described turnout as the strongest in years.

Every name on the register is a neighbour who decided to be part of building something.
The membership office said the new branches will begin work immediately on local priorities identified by residents.
