PNC has unveiled a programme that gives young members defined, meaningful roles inside the party rather than ad-hoc volunteering. The initiative spans policy research, digital communications, island organising and community service.
The programme grew out of months of consultation with members under thirty, who asked for clearer pathways into the work of the party and more responsibility once they joined.
Three tracks
Participants choose one of three tracks — ideas, organising or communications — and are paired with an experienced mentor for the duration of the cycle. Each track ends with a real deliverable the party can use.
- Ideas: contribute to policy briefs and manifesto working groups.
- Organising: help run island branches and membership drives.
- Communications: produce content, manage channels and cover events.
Applications are open now through island branches and the membership portal. Leadership described the programme as an investment in the party's next generation of public servants.
